Raphael Warjri

Raphael Warjri  is a painter, writer,  film-maker and a theatre personality based in Shillong. He was conferred Green Warrior Award by ISB&M, Kolkata; Excellence Award by Rotary Club of Orchid City, Shillong 2011, and Avenues Youth Icon Award 2012.

He is the owner of MAD Gallery and Chairmanof Riti Academy of Visual Arts.

His film, 'Ka Phor Sorat', a documentary on the dying cremation ceremony of the Lyngngam people in 1997 was nominated at the Film South Asia 97 - a festival of South Asian Documentaries at Kathmandu, Nepal and at the Dhaka International Short Film Festival 1999 in Bangladesh.
